Probably the most important thing that a person with a skin problem can do, is understand that:

“There is always an underlying cause for your skin problem”.Our Natural Skin Specialists are experts and helping our clients improve the look and feel of their skin.

I love to see my clients get great results with their skin problem, so I am always concerned when they don’t get this.

Why? Because if the client doesn’t understand this concept, they are not going to be committed to doing what it takes, to correct the internal, disease causing imbalances.

Healthy Skin Clinic helps many people with chronic skin conditions. A chronic skin condition is one that lasts for 6 weeks or more.

It is a fact that the cause of the chronic skin condition that you can see on the outside, is probably causing issues on the inside as well.

For example, psoriasis is linked to arthritis and increased risk of metabolic syndrome and heart disease. So it makes sense to treat all of the identifiable deficiencies or imbalances within the body, because this will not only help with the appearance of the skin but also help heal the inside and boost health generally. BONUS!

All skin disorders can be improved if the Must Do’s are adhered to.

The 3 Must Do’s of Treating Skin Disorders

1) Understand that the skin disorder is a reflection of what is going on inside the body.

Healthy Skin Clinic treats clients of all ages to improve the look and feel of the skin. Australia wide service.

Most people understand that the skin is the fourth elimination channel in the body. The first three are the liver, kidney and bowel. When we talk about eliminating toxins, many people can understand that if the first 3 systems aren’t working properly, then the body will seek to get rid of its waste elsewhere i.e. from the skin.

This idea of getting rid of toxins from the skin, is an easy concept to grasp, but is not necessarily a true reflection of what is going on in the body. It is somewhat “airy fairy”, although it is true that following a decent detoxification program can help some people improve their skin, by opening up the detoxification channels.

There are however, many other things as well as toxicity, that need to be considered. When it comes to identifying the triggers (or causes) of a skin problem we should never forget about the lack or excess of nutrients and minerals, the role of a pro-inflammatory diet, stress and the many other contributing factors. (see the Membership site for more detail about your skin condition).

Having an understanding of the connection between the inside and the outside is vitally important.

2) A successful treatment has several components – there are no short cuts.

3D-Women-Arrow-01Why? Because we want to give you relief and results ASAP.

The components of a good skin treatment program will include:

  • a topical product to heal the skin directly
  • supplements to turn off the itch and decrease inflammation, replenish the body with nutrients and rebalance things such as the immune system, hormones, abnormal blood sugar or insulin levels etc.
  • making dietary and lifestyle changes according to your Treatment Program

3) A “quick fix” approach is unlikely to deliver the quick and long term results that you are after.Avoid the bandaid approach to medicine - it doesn't work

We live in a society where we want things “now”. When it comes to treating a skin disorder (or any other health complaint for that matter), we want quick results. And quick relief can certainly be achieved with good topical products and supplements, but there is no “quick fix” to the cause of your problem.

Steroid creams are a perfect example of a quick fix. Anyone that has had a steroid cream will usually tell you that it works whilst you are using it, but the skin problem often comes back worse than before, once the cream is stopped.

There is an old saying that “for every year that you have had a health problem it take one month of treatment to restore good health”. Some skin problems may have developed in childhood and been present on and off for decades, so if the former were true, treatment could take a while. But I am sure you get the idea – healing and optimizing health in order maintain healthy skin, can take a while.
